A box-type substation integrates high-voltage switchgear, a power transformer and low-voltage distribution equipment inside a fully sealed, pre-assembled steel enclosure with protection against moisture, rust, dust, rodents, fire and theft. Compared with conventional masonry substations, compact substations offer a significantly smaller footprint, shorter installation cycles and lower overall costs, making them the preferred choice for urban distribution networks, industrial parks and renewable energy plants.
SAD supplies YBM-series American-style and European-style compact substations, as well as fully pre-assembled units, with rated capacities from 50 kVA to 5,000 kVA and primary voltages of 10 kV or 35 kV. All units are backed by complete type test reports and comply with State Grid procurement requirements. Custom IP ratings, cooling methods, metering arrangements (HV-side or LV-side) and communication interfaces (Modbus / IEC 61850) are available to meet specific project needs.
